The Minnesota Association of Blood Banks membership planned a great annual Fall meeting, which was held at the Holiday Inn in Bloomington on September 26, 2019. Presentations were practical and informative, as well as educational and insightful about new and developing technologies relevant to blood banking and transfusion medicine. As the Physician liaison, I am proud of the physician participation within our organization to advance the educational mission of our organization. We work closely with many of our physician colleagues specializing in transfusion medicine to positively impact patient care. We are indebted to all the laboratory professionals who work diligently to improve the lives of others, whether it’s in the blood center or in the hospital setting.

Many thanks to Jennifer Sukke, MnABB President, as well as our board members and everyone who contributed to the 2019 Fall meeting to make it truly a great educational experience.
